Project Details
This redevelopment project included 3,000 linear feet of new roadway along with a 10’ multi-use path on the former Allis Chalmers plant site. This included removal and on-site recycling of 100,000 syds of concrete from old buildings, docks and pavements.
Abonmarche’s stormwater management system design included bioswales and porous pavers to filter water prior to collection and transport to nearby Clear Lake and Pine Lake. The storm sewer system included a 48” storm trunk line through the site that was maintained, but re-routed. This storm system and weir controlled the water levels in Crystal Lake and provided drainage to Pine Lake.
This project also included new water main distribution lines and a sanitary sewer collection system. The site was elevated in order to eliminate the need for a costly sewer lift station, but still provided attractive development sites for further development.
