Abonmarche provided architectural and engineering services for the remodel of approximately 2,000 SF at the Benton Harbor campus of Lake Michigan College to expand Health Science programming in the Main Building. The Sonography program was relocated from the existing imaging suite (C120) to the Dental Lab space (C115), allowing for six scan rooms, a new office, a student collaboration area, and a shared lobby entrance for public outreach. The former imaging suite was remodeled to include a workroom with copier access and a classroom viewing space with a shielded window. Upgrades included new hardware, electronic door access, painting, and floor and ceiling repairs, while maintaining cabinetry and finishes where possible to match facility standards. Our services included field review of existing conditions, schematic design and estimating, construction documentation, limited construction administration, and coordination with authorities. Only minor MEP modifications were required, and no structural work was anticipated.
