Project Details
Abonmarche assisted in the reconstruction of a failing stone revetment causing the existing docks to bottom out at low water levels. The project goal was the replacement of the failing stone slope to ensure sufficient water depth for floating docks and boats.
We developed a phased approach to implement this phase. First, the existing revetment was replaced by a new sheet pile bulkhead with replacement of adding and detailed sections of the waterfront promenade. The successful completion of this work allowed future dredging and dock replacement to improve ADA accessibility to the waterfront and allow for larger vessels to diversify the slip mix within the municipal marina.
Abonmarche partitioned the project into multiple phases to stay within the budget while accomplishing the City goals to extend the life of the existing docks with functional and aesthetic improvements to the facility serving boaters and pedestrians alike.
