Project Details
The City of Grand Haven approached Abonmarche to scope and obtain funding to improve transportation infrastructure and preserve an all-season road within an important commercial district of Grand Haven. The project involved replacement of pavement and drainage features, and improvements for turning trucks at critical intersections. In conjunction with the roadway improvements, Grand Haven’s water and wastewater infrastructure were improved as well. Abonmarche oversaw the water main replacement throughout the corridor — with lead service line replacement in accordance with Michigan’s Lead and Copper Rules — and lead water services as well as provisions for future sanitary rerouting.
Abonmarche provided project scoping, estimating and grant application services and successfully obtained Transportation Economic Development Fund – Category F (TEDF-F) funding, along with partnering with other Surface Transportation Improvement Program Funding from the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT). Abonmarche staff successfully designed, permitted, and administered construction for successful project delivery.
