Project Details

This site, previously an industrial manufacturing area in Benton Harbor and St. Joseph, Michigan, was redeveloped as a mixed-use, award-winning 444-acre Brownfield redevelopment.

Abonmarche provided engineering design, construction management, land use and master planning services, as well as environmental testing. Land use designations were established based not only on best use, but also to derive maximum benefit from Brownfield, waterfront and economic development grant programs. Additionally, we participated in securing more than $3 Million in grant funding for the project and prepared the utilities master plan for the entire redeveloped area. We also prepared plans for a 100-lot residential brownfield redevelopment project, which included roadway, storm sewer, sanitary sewer, water main, sidewalks, curbs, gutters, signage, landscape architecture and playground design.
