Project Details

Abonmarche assisted the City of LaPorte Redevelopment Commission with the design of the Clear Lake Boardwalk Project which is a 400 foot long, 10 foot wide, timber framed multi-use boardwalk. The Boardwalk features two outlook areas with constructed benched for fishing or resting. The project is a continuation of the existing Clear Lake Trail and extends across the southern end of Clear Lake. It will directly connect the existing trail and parking lot to a future park space on the now abandoned Hoelocker Drive and will be extended in the future to connect to the Chessie Trail.

The Boardwalk is part of the City of LaPorte Redevelopment’s plan to interconnect the Downtown with the Clear Lake Area, the New Porte Landing Development and The Chessie Trail System. Abonmarche provided survey, design and assisted the City with bidding the project.
