Most of us have been complaining about the heat lately, but not too long ago, the ground was covered with snow.  With plenty of snow on the ground, Abonmarche assisted in a bathymetric survey of Lake Michigan for a water line intake project near Michigan City.

A bathymetric survey allows you to measure the depth of a body of water and map its features when its hot or cold.

The team at Benton Harbor-based Abonmarche is growing again. The engineering, architecture, and surveying firm announced nine new hires.

The company has hired 5 employees to work out of the firm’s Benton Harbor office.

Garrick Garcia - CAD Technician.  Garrick has his Bachelors of Science in Geoscience from Austin Peay State University in Tennessee.  He previously worked for Abonmarche in 2016 as a Survey Technician.

Fourteen interns have joined the Abonmarche staff for the summer.

Richard Davila, Engineering Intern – Richard is working in our South Bend office this summer. He is enrolled in the Civil Engineering program at Trine University.

Courtney Drews, Business Services Intern – Courtney is returning to the Benton Harbor office for another summer.  She is currently attending Michigan State University in pursuit of a Business degree.

Sam Jablonowski, Anmol Shrivastava, and Matt Zurbriggen, Staff Engineers at Abonmarche have been granted Professional Engineer (PE) licenses.  Each passed the Professional Engineer (PE) exam, completed experience requirements, and successfully applied for the license.

Portage’s Westnedge Avenue is one of the busiest roads in town.  Abonmarche has been working at night on a storm sewer installation to ease traffic congestion.
