Abonmarche was responsible the site design of two new professional offices within the existing Goshen Health Professional Park campus that included a 22,000 sq. ft. medical office building and 8,100 sq. ft. medical doctors office that allowed for reorganization and relocation of offices from within the main hospital building.
Abonmarche provided a full scope of services consisting of boundary and topographic survey, site planning, zoning and PUD Amendment process, public meeting representation, landscape design, site engineering of drainage, grading, and utility design, bio-retention for runoff from horse and buggy parking, and construction staking. The existing storm sewer had limited capacity; therefore, a new stormwater detention basin was designed with storage volume to accommodate a slow release into an existing storm sewer with limited capacity that discharged into a City drainage ditch and ultimately into the Elkhart River. This work also included performing a detailed traffic impact analysis of existing and proposed traffic volumes to the existing entrance at South Main Street (SR 15) for review by INDOT and the City of Goshen. Due to existing sanitary sewer and water main being located under the pavement of SR 15, utility permit applications were required by INDOT as well as a detailed plan to maintain traffic on SR 15. Due to the size of the project and disturbance, a State of Indiana Rule 5/SWPPP was prepared and followed by the Site Contractor during construction of the project.
