Position Description

The Landscape Architectural Project Manager is responsible for the overall supervision of various landscape architectural design projects.  The focus for this position will be providing satisfaction to our clients by ensuring projects are functional, aesthetically pleasing, code compliant, completed within allocated period of time within the budget assigned. This person will coordinate both internal and external team members across several disciplines, and interact with clients, government officials, and contractors as part of the design, permitting and construction process. Responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborate with clients, engineers, and building architects to understand and complete projects
  • Prepare site plans, specifications, and cost estimates
  • Coordinate the arrangement of existing and proposed land features and structures
  • Prepare graphic representations of proposed plans using computer-aided design and drafting software (CADD)
  • Select appropriate materials for use in landscape designs
  • Analyze environmental reports on land conditions, such as drainage and energy usage
  • Inspect landscape work to ensure it adheres to original plan
  • Seek new work through marketing or giving presentations

Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience with land development design and approval process
  • Landscape Architect Registration preferred
  • Experience in master planning, parks and recreation, streetscape design, and construction document preparation of commercial, governmental, and educational projects
  • Proficiency in AutoCADD and Landscape Development software programs
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently or with teams
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
