Abonmarche was founded in 1979 to provide engineering, architecture, marina/waterfront, surveying, landscape architecture and planning services to governmental, commercial, educational, industrial and private residential clients. Our many services include civil and transportation engineering, stormwater management, land and waterfront development, architectural design, community and private planning, feasibility studies, construction administration, structural engineering, hydrographic and land surveying, financing, state and federal grant assistance and master planning.
Our firm continues to grow and reaffirm its commitment to high-value client service. The Cornerstone Alliance in Benton Harbor has honored Abonmarche with 5 “Platinum Stake Awards” (1998, 2000, 2001, 2002, and 2007) for growth and contribution to the local economy, and recognized past company president and CEO, Ronald Schults, P.E., with the 2005 Ernst & Young “Entrepreneur of the Year” award. Recently, we received the distinction of being ranked number 27 among the state’s fastest growing firms in the “Michigan Private 100” and were chosen by the Michigan Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers as the 2000 “Quality of Life Award” winner for work done on behalf of the Edgewater Brownfield redevelopment project.
