Village of Paw Paw

Village of Paw Paw

S2 Study and SRF Project Plan

The Village of Paw Paw is completing an extensive study, the first of its kind in over 35 years, of its wastewater sewer collection system, which serves the village and sections of Antwerp and Paw Paw townships. The study will update a previous study, completed in 1978, and will address issues of aging infrastructure and issues within the collection system that lead to elevated wet weather flows that utilize and sometimes exceed system capacity, which could otherwise be available to allow expansion of service and growth.

The project, funded by an S2 Grant from the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality, is scheduled to be completed in April 2016.

The report, which can be downloaded from the links below, will provide an overview of the Village’s existing sanitary sewer system, identify excess wet weather flow and other system issues, and evaluate alternative methods for cost effective improvements.
